Not far from our picturesque venue space is one of the most famous Fort Lauderdale attractions: Las Olas Boulevard. What was once a simple dirt road connecting undeveloped swampland to the beach has grown into a lively destination of dining, shopping, nightlife, and more.
Las Olas - which means “The Waves” in Spanish - runs from the beachside Elbo Room bar to the NSU Art Museum of Fort Lauderdale. The commercial area of the boulevard was first built in the mid-20th century, undergoing major renovations in the 1970s and 80s. Today, Las Olas features over 120 retail stores, making it the hub of shopping in Fort Lauderdale. Visitors can also choose from world-class restaurants with outdoor seating and galleries filled with outstanding pieces of art.
Follow the thoroughfare to the Atlantic Ocean and discover Fort Lauderdale’s most well-known beach attractions. Las Olas Beach is a hotspot for visitors and offers a scenic view of the shoreline. From here, you’ll find more options for waterfront dining, boutique stores, and seaside recreation along A1A.
